Hello Maplers,
The Staff Application section has now been opened and we have available Internship and GFX Designer positions. An internship will help you get acquainted with some staff-responsibilities and tools which will lead you on the path to becoming a Game Moderator, at which point you will have the full ability to successfully moderate our game and host events. GFX Designers will create and design banners, or other artwork for events and promotions but will not, by default, have a GM account.
If you have any interest in applying, you can create an application here. All applications can only be viewed by the staff and the user who created it for the sake of privacy.
Some Tips:
We will not provide an application sheet, so use your creativity and show us what you've got. Never worry about writing too much!
Good luck!

Hello Maplers,
The MapleLegends open beta period has officially closed and we are now preparing the server for the official release. As promised, we will be giving out open beta rewards to all players who have met the level thresholds. To be eligible for a reward, you will need to have a character within the top 25th percentile of any explorer class or have a character with a level equal to or above the average level at the top 25th percentile. You may also be eligible for a reward despite not meeting the level threshold if we believe that you put in an extraordinary amount of effort during the open beta. Open beta reward recipients will be able to keep their open beta in-game character name, skin, face, and hairstyle, while also receiving 4/4/4/4 ability stats. They will also be receiving a small NX bonus and some other small goodies.
You can find a list of open beta reward recipients on the forum by clicking here.
Thank you again to all of our beta testers! We're looking forward to seeing you during the official release!

Hello Maplers,
There have been rumors going around that a past v.62 server stored account information in plain text, which caused a member who played on said server to get compromised on some of his other accounts (fyi: he is currently not a member of MapleLegends).
With that being said, we want to remind you that you should always try to use an unique username and password in private servers (including MapleLegends) and avoid including your personal information for your own privacy and security. MapleLegends will never use your registration information in any way, shape, or form, but we still highly recommend that you do not use the same information here that you use elsewhere.
If you currently use the same password here as you do in other places (in particular other private servers), we highly recommend changing your password, which you can do by going here.
Thanks!

Hello Maplers,
Before I begin, I'd just like to thank every single one of you for participating in the MapleLegends Open Beta. You've all helped us out immensely by providing feedback, reporting bugs, or simply just voting. We've received so much support from players both new and old, and we cannot thank all of you enough for helping us improve the MapleLegends experience.
The development of MapleLegends began in August of last year with the goal of creating a GMS-Like server that brings you back to the prime of MapleStory, and provides not only a high quality nostalgic experience but also content never-before-seen in the private server community.
After months of work, we are proud to announce a release date for MapleLegends. Of course, this doesn't mean that we are done with our development. The development of our server will continue even after our release as we attempt to provide you with exciting new content and an overall improved gameplay experience.
The announced MapleLegends' release date will be April 1, 2015
I know that many of you have waited a long time for our release, with our Open Beta beginning over 3 months ago, and our Closed Beta beginning more than 4 months ago; however, we wanted make sure that we were able to provide a high quality gaming experience from start to finish, rather than rushing it. We hope that you have enjoyed what we have offered thus far, and that you will enjoy what we we have in store in the future.
Here's our future plan for MapleLegends:
1. New Installer
All Open Beta data will be obsolete after release. We kindly ask for everyone to re-download our installer with the latest files and updates since significant additions and changes have been made over these past 3 months. We will be providing you with this in the coming days.
2. New Content
We still have a lot in store after the release. Our goal is still to have everything from v.62 GMS available and working and we have no plans to stop anytime soon. We will also be providing new content and events to make your gaming experience more enjoyable.
3. Donations
Without proper funding, it is very difficult for a server to grow. The donations received will be used for the purpose of improving server specs, advertising, and other server-related activities. MapleLegends will make sure that there will never be pay2win content or donation content that gives advantages to a user. We will be providing a mix of post v.62 cash shop items for both donors and non-donors, making everything as fair as possible for both parties. Additionally, all donor items can be transferred with our Cash Shop storage, allowing them to be used on any of your characters on same account. Donations will be through Paypal and Bitcoins.
4. Applications
After our release, MapleLegends will be looking for players who are interested and suitable to join our staff. Our hiring process will be very stringent and we are looking for serious applications only. Currently, our greatest need is for Game Moderators and GFX Designers. In the coming days, we will have a section opened for staff applications.
5. Our VPS
MapleLegends is currently being hosted in Belgium. While our VPS is very fast for European players, we are aware that our players come from all around the world. Some players living farther away may experience slight delays due to latency. It is difficult for us to make everybody happy, but we will try to improve this over time. Our overall server is very stable with a record up-time of 8 days (before we had updates) and it should be very rare for you to get stuck online.
6. The Wipe
The specifics of the wipe are not fully finalized, but we will not be wiping your account information. What will be wiped for sure are all character stats, levels, items, etc. Everyone will start from the same point at the release. Open beta testers who met the level requirements necessary to receive a reward will receive them when the first enter the game.
Once again we cannot thank everybody enough for the amazing support you've all provided us during on beta testing. We made the top 10 (rank 9) on GTOP while still in beta which is extremely impressive. We sincerely hope you guys enjoyed playing during beta and that you will continue to enjoy what we have to offer in the months and years to come. Hopefully we'll see both new and old faces following the release and that you are able to successfully re-experience the good old days of MapleStory.
Thank you for the continuous support!

Hello Maplers,
Our latest update added a fully functional Cash Shop Storage. Since this is neither a very common feature in pre-Big Bang servers, nor would many people have used it in GMS, let me explain how it works.
Cash Shop Storage is your virtual storage found in Cash Shop where you can store cash items. Similar to your regular storage, it allows you to store your cash items for more inventory space and allows you to transfer cash items between characters on your account, instantly and at no cost. This will also work for the donor cash items coming in the future.
How to use the Cash Shop Storage
When you purchase an item from Cash Shop, you will now notice that it no longer appears directly in your inventory. Instead, it appears in the"Cash Item" section on the left side of Cash Shop. This is your Cash Shop Storage. All cash items in there are account associated, so by placing items in your cash shop storage, you can bring them out on any other characters on the same account. If you want to take something out of your Cash Shop storage, all you need to do is double click the item and it should appear in your inventory. Likewise, if you want to put something into the Cash Shop storage, you simply need to double click the item from your inventory and it will be moved into your Cash Shop Storage. Note that this will work only with cash items.
We hope you guys will enjoy this feature. Stay tuned as there is a lot more new content to come at MapleLegends!
